The commander of Operation Irini, Admiral Valentino Rinaldi, has called for the need to focus on integrating intelligence information and satellite data during the operation’s missions, leading to the implementation of the arms embargo more efficiently.

Admiral Rinaldi held key meetings in the Belgian capital, Brussels, with senior representatives of the European Union and ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee to discuss strengthening the enforcement of the arms embargo imposed by the United Nations on Libya.

According to the Italian "Italpress" website, Operation Irini faces many challenges, including limited enforcement capabilities and continuous violations via land and air routes, as Admiral Rinaldi stressed the importance of European Union unity and cooperation to overcome these challenges.
