The Presidential Council (PC) has confirmed the release of Naji Harir, a senior official in the Gaddafi regime and former commander of Gaddafi’s Mohamed Al-Maqrif brigade.
The media office of the PC pointed out that the release of Harir comes directly within the framework of “national reconciliation.”
Harir was arrested in 2011 and later released in 2017; however, he was again arrested in 2018, along with a military cell whose intention was to carry out acts of sabotage in the capital, Tripoli.
