The Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, confirmed the continuation of cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross mission in Libya, especially in the file of missing persons, and overcoming difficulties in this regard as one of the pillars of the reconciliation project.

Al-Lafi met at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation to Libya, in the presence of the Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Humanitarian Affairs at the Ministry of Defense, and the Protection File Coordinator at the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The media office of the Presidential Council said that the meeting focused on following up on the file of missing persons and detainees, reviewing the work accomplished by the committee through the joint humanitarian work team of the Tripoli and Benghazi committees, and communicating with all relevant parties. 

The media office added that the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation hailed the cooperation of the Presidential Council with the committee in this important file, reviewing what had been achieved so far in uncovering the unidentified bodies and knowing the whereabouts of detainees.
