Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah on Saturday joined a ceremony to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Police, under the slogan “Our covenant remains with the security of the homeland.”

The Interior Ministry organized the event at the Shaab Port of Tripoli in the presence of Interior Minister Badr Eddine Toumi, Minister of Justice, Halima al-Busaifi, and Minister of Social Affairs, Wafa al-Kilani, in addition to other relevant officials.

The ceremony featured parades presented by affiliates of the Interior Ministry's departments, in addition to marine vessels of the General Directorate of Coastal Security.

It may be worth noting that the Libyan Police was established on October 8, 1964, as it was the first security force to be formed in the country.
