The Saudi authorities have arrested Libyan national Hamza Al-Busaifi in the holy city of Makkah, while he was performing Umrah.

According to activists, Al-Busaifi's arrest came against the backdrop of his publishing a video clip of a man claiming to be a prophet.

The activists said that Al-Busaifi will be transferred to the general prison in the coming days.

The Libyan embassy in Saudi Arabia promised Al-Busaifi’s family to appoint a lawyer for him.
