The Security Council committee that is established pursuant to Resolution 1970 (2011) on Libya held informal consultations to look into the final report of its panel of experts, which was submitted to the Security Council on 25 May.

The panel of experts provided an overview of the report covering actions that threaten the peace, stability or security of Libya or obstruct or undermine the successful completion of the political transition process; implementation of the arms embargo, asset freeze and travel ban; in addition to measures related to attempts to illegally export crude oil and refined petroleum products from Libya.

The Security Council committee on Libya discussed the recommendations in the final report of the panel, while considering the follow-up procedures related to the recommendations addressed to the committee and all member states.
