Security services at Misrata Airport have foiled an attempt to smuggle a large sum of foreign currency to Turkey with the help of a flight attendant.
In a statement, the Internal Security Agency said the security services seized around 170,000 euros in the possession of a Libyan female flight attendant.
The security discovered the money during inspection procedures before the departure of an Afriqiyah Airways flight bound for Turkey on Tuesday.
The agency confirmed they referred the accused to the competent authorities in the airport for further legal action.
