The President of the High Council of State (HCS) in Libya, Mohamed Takala, on Thursday discussed the political situation in Libya with the Egyptian Ambassador to Libya, Tamer Mostafa.
The two sides reviewed the initiative proposed by the UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily to address the political crisis in Libya and establish a roadmap for elections.
Takala affirmed the Council's support for Bathily's efforts to achieve elections under fair laws that are widely accepted by the Libyan people.
The parties also reviewed the relations between Libya and Egypt and explored ways to promote cooperation between the two nations in various fields.
