The head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, has held talks with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, on developments in the political process in Libya, and the steps taken to end the transitional stages.
Takala welcomed the new British ambassador, wishing him success in his duties, stressing the depth of relations between the two countries, according to the HCS media office.
Both sides stressed the need for reaching a national consensus that would lead to the holding of parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible.
