The head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Abdoulaye Bathily, have discussed developments in the political process in Libya, and the outputs of the 6+6 committee.
The two sides discussed ways to create an environment and conditions for free, fair, transparent and credible elections, and guarantees of acceptance of the results of these elections by all political parties, according to the HCS media office.
“We agreed on the need to finalize the electoral drat laws, taking into account the observations provided by stakeholders to make them implementable”, Bathily said on its X platform page.
