Takala

The Head of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala, said that the Palestinian people are resisting alone, with their limited capabilities, the most powerful weapons produced by the modern military machine, adding that they are facing alone the fiercest attack in history.

Takala added at the opening of the fifth conference of the Association of Parliamentarians for Jerusalem that in light of what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories; everyone has a responsibility to support the people of Gaza through a strong condemnation of Israeli aggression, and a sincere stance in the face of the targeting of the Palestinian Cause.

He pointed out that history and the free people of the world won't forgive the silence about the crimes of genocide, forced displacement, and war crimes to which the Palestinians are exposed in and around Gaza. He called for supporting the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves and to stand by them with full force to put an end to its bitter suffering by seeking to impose an immediate ceasefire, ending hostilities on all of the Palestinian territories and its neighbourhood, and accelerating the provision of humanitarian aid of all kinds.

In addition to Takala’s participation in the conference activities; the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, also participated in the opening session of the conference, which began in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Friday.
