The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reviewed on Sunday with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, the latest developments in Libya.

A statement by the Algerian Presidency said that President Tebboune made a phone call to Macron, in which he emphasized his country's desire to maintain strong ties with France.

Over and above the bilateral relations, the two sides discussed several files of common interest, including the situation in Libya and Africa's Sahel region in general.
