Tika

The General Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Ali Bejanik, expressed their readiness to assist Libya in combating Rift Valley fever, which affects livestock in several Libyan cities.

Bejanik reaffirmed during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Local Governance, Mustafa Salem, that they would provide the Turkish authorities with a health situation report as soon as possible to offer the required support.

In turn, the Deputy minister indicated that smuggling is one of the main reasons for the spread of Rift Valley fever among livestock, emphasizing the formation of rooms to isolate the areas where the disease is prevalent.
