Ministry of Transport and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority signed an air transport agreement and a memorandum of technical cooperation between civil aviation institutions.
Undersecretary Khaled Souissi of Air Transport Affairs met with an Italian delegation comprising the head of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority and representatives of the Italian Presidency, the Italian Foreign Ministry, and the Italian Airlines company.
The Italian delegation, currently visiting Libya, discussed bilateral relations in air transport and increasing the number of flights and air operators.
Libya's Transport Ministry said the deal will enable Libyan airlines to restore their presence in European markets and open new opportunities for air traffic with the EU.
