The Land Ports Management and Operation Center at the Ministry of Transportation announced on Monday that the Libyan-Algerian joint committee agreed on a protocol for reopening the Ghadames border crossing with Algeria, confirming the operational readiness of the border.

The Center explained that the Libyan delegation ended its visit to Algeria by signing the protocol of reopening and operating the Ghadames-Al-Dabdab land border, saying the protocol regulates the movement of people and the transportation of goods between the two sides, which was agreed upon by the joint Libyan-Algerian team of experts.

It added that the reopening ceremony of the border will be held in the coming days after granting permission from the Minister of Transportation on the proposed date, to mark the beginning of the return of transport and movement between Libya and Algeria.
