The Second Criminal Chamber of Tripoli Court of Appeal postponed Wednesday the trial Saadi Gaddafi in the case of killing and torture of the former football player of Al-Ittihad Club and the Libyan national football team, Bashir Rayani, to February 20.
The son of the victim, Ali Bashir Rayani, clarified in a press statement that the postponement of the trial was at the request of Saadi’s lawyer in order to prepare more documents for the hearings.
Saadi Gaddafi attended the trial session held in the court complex in Tripoli, which started in 2014 in connection with the torture and killing of Bashir Rayani on December 23, 2005.
