The Tripolitanian Society‎ has warned that the parallel government's continuous attempts to enter Tripoli may trigger a new round of conflict.

In a statement on Facebook, the bloc held Fathi Bashagha's government accountable for the shedding of blood in Tripoli as a result of its desperate attempts to take over the capital, urging the armed factions not to be dragged into the conflict and to work to preserve the security and stability in the region.

They accused the Speaker of the east-based Parliament, Aqila Saleh, of creating political polemics and leading Tripoli and the western region into turmoil, "If triggered, will result in adverse consequences for the civilians and the social fabric.
