An official at the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Hatem Ferjani, has called for the immediate halting of all military operations in Libya.

"The Libyan file should be distanced from foreign interference so that Libyans can resume negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations," Ferjani said in his speech at the Non-Aligned Summit in Azerbaijan, on Saturday.

Earlier, Tunisian Prime Minister, Youssef Chahed affirmed his country's support for the democratic process in Libya and its full support to the Libyan people, in a meeting with Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, on the sidelines of the Sochi summit.
