The new ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Libya, Martin Longden, confirmed that Libya was facing difficult political challenges, but it also had great potential, given the appropriate support from the international community.
Longdon expressed in a video statement on the occasion of assuming his position, which he published on X platform, his excitement about his new mission in Libya and the opportunity to meet Libyans from all over the country.
The British ambassador indicated that he had lived in many Middle Eastern cities, such as Amman, Doha, and Beirut, but this was his first time in Libya, stressing that he had a lot to learn about Libya and its people.
