The UN advisor, Stephanie Williams, said she had met with Canadian ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, on Monday evening in Tunisia and that they both emphasized the need to maintain calm on the ground in Libya.

Williams added on Twitter on Tuesday that she had noted the degree of consensus between the House of Representatives and High Council of State in Libya, while observing that the 2.8 million Libyans who registered to vote have a right to demand the production of national elections on a sound constitutional basis and electoral laws.
