The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has confirmed that Sudanese refugees in Kufra face critical challenges and their number is rising.
The Sudanese reside in more than 50 informal camps on Kufra farms and various governmental and non-governmental facilities, and face difficulties related to health, shelter and sanitation, according to the UNICEF.
It also confirmed that it faces a funding gap of more than $4 million to support and expand the humanitarian response throughout Libya to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of about 40,000 Sudanese.
