The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) discussed Sunday in a workshop, how civil society can be engaged in implementing the 2020 Ceasefire Agreement and supporting the Joint Military Commission (JMC) 5+5’s efforts, with twenty civil society activists from across Libya.
During the workshop, the group reviewed activities carried out by the JMC 5+5 and UNSMIL in support of the Libyan ceasefire monitoring mechanism and discussed lessons learned from civil society participation in ceasefire monitoring processes in other countries, the UNSMIL said on its X platform page.
