The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has welcomed the prisoner exchange deal between the Libyan Army forces and Haftar’s militias, under the supervision of the Joint Military Committee.
In a statement on Friday, UNSMIL urged all parties to complete the exchange of all detainees included in the ceasefire agreement as quickly as possible, along with the implementation of the terms of the ceasefire.
The Libyan Army forces conducted a prisoner exchange on Friday with Haftar’s militia in which 33 prisoners from Haftar’s side were exchanged with 18 members of the Libyan Army forces.
