The US Defence Attaché Office recently met with Lieutenant General Khairy Tamimi, Office Director for Khalifa Haftar's forces, in Benghazi.
According to the US Embassy in Libya, the parties discussed US support for cooperation between Libyan military institutions.
They also emphasized the importance of continued efforts towards achieving unity under a civilian-led, elected government capable of protecting Libya's sovereignty and contributing to regional stability.
