The US Chargé d'Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, has welcomed a group of Libyan students who will travel to the United States to compete in the World Robotics Championship.
“It was a real pleasure to meet this impressive group of students from the Libyan National Robotics Team who will be traveling to Houston, Texas to compete in the World Robotics Championship with support from the Libyan Academy for Telecom and Informatics at LPTIC.” Berndt said according to the US Embassy in Libya’s Facebook page.
The American diplomat voiced support for the students, asserting: “I am certain these gifted young Libyans will play a vital role in shaping Libya’s future.”
He pointed out his country's pride in partnering in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education with young people in Libya and other countries of the world.
