The Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of National Unity and the World Food Program (WFP) have signed a memorandum of understanding.

This came during a meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Hussein Al-Qatrani, with the WFP representative, Maysaa Al-Gharabawi, and her accompanying delegation.

The Ministry of Agriculture said that the agreement aims to develop areas with limited income, raise the standard of living of citizens there, and provide the agricultural production requirements that farmers and breeders in those areas need.

The agreement also aims to solve the problems and difficulties facing farmers and achieve self-sufficiency, sustainable development and food security in accordance with climate changes and adaptation to them, according to the same source.
