The Mayor of Zaltan, Omar Sagheer, said that a two-day sit-in was held due to an armed convoy entering the city without coordination.
In a press statement, Sagheer said that the joint force established by the GNU government in Zaltan was lenient with the convoy's entry, which opposes public opinion and social agreements with the Municipality of Zuwara.
The sit-in was lifted on Tuesday, and communication with the PM and Minister of Interior has been established to address the issue, according to the Mayor.
