The British Embassy in Libya denied issuing any new updates regarding travel to Libya on Saturday.
In a statement, the embassy addressed some "false" news reports, explaining that "Like many other countries," the advice against all travel to Libya has been in place consistently since 2014.
On Thursday, the British Foreign Ministry reiterated its warnings regarding travel to Libya. It maintained its classification of Libya as one of the destinations not advisable for visits due to the precarious local security situation.
