The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Takala, discussed areas of cooperation between Libya and Turkey and the latest political developments in Libya during a meeting with a Turkish delegation on Wednesday.
Takala received Barbaros Dicle, the Deputy Director General for North Africa and Bilateral Political Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Orhan Başaran, the Deputy Director General for Maritime, Aviation, and Border Affairs at the Ministry, and the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yılmaz.
A statement by the HCS media office said the meeting coincides with the resumption of Turkish airline flights to and from Mitiga Airport in Tripoli.
The Government of National Unity recently announced the forthcoming resumption of Turkish airline flights to Libya after a suspension of almost a decade. The services are set to recommence next week.
