The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) has questioned officials at Alwatania TV after the state TV station aired a cartoon featuring a kissing scene.

ACA said the scene violates public morals, the teachings of the true Islamic religion, and the customs and traditions of society.

In a statement, ACA confirmed, after summoning the channel's officials and interrogating them, that the incident is the responsibility of the director of programmes and the head of the daily scheduling department of the broadcast map.

It stressed that it will take deterrent legal measures against the two officials and hold them criminally and disciplinarily accountable for this incident, according to the statement.

Earlier, the Director General of National TV, Awatef Al-Tashani, apologized to the Libyan nation for this unintentionally mistake, promising to take Administrative penalties against the offenders.
