Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, congratulated Mohamed Takala on his new role as President of the High Council of State (HCS), during a meeting on Saturday.
Al-Lafi wished him success in his new mission and emphasized the need to attain the electoral benefits that all Libyans seek.
The discussions focused on ways to move the political process forward and how to coordinate efforts between the two councils to establish consensus among all parties.
Furthermore, they reviewed the security events that took place in the capital over the previous period.
Al-Lafi and Takala also exchanged notes on how to reinforce the PC efforts in the national reconciliation file, in preparation for the inclusive reconciliation conference aimed at establishing long-term stability and peace in the country.
