The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, has hailed the “massive role” played by the African Union in supporting national reconciliation efforts in Libya.
Al-Mangoush applauded in a joint press conference with her Congolese counterpart, Jean-Claude Gakosso, in Tripoli on Monday the Congolese support for the Libyan people, saying the Libyan Foreign Ministry will continue to boost stability in the country and that the Government of National Unity is working on holding elections and achieving national reconciliation.
Gakosso said he came to Tripoli to talk about peace and national reconciliation as one of the conditions for holding general elections in Libya, saying the African Union cares about the Libyan peace and stability. He said national reconciliation process is difficult but necessary.
He referred to his meeting with the Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and Al-Mangoush, saying they have the same viewpoint on the situation in Libya.
