President Mohamed Menfi of the Presidential Council (PC) participated in a high-level meeting of the African Committee on Libya in Brazzaville, the capital of Congo.
The meeting was in response to an official invitation from Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso, who is currently chairing the committee.
The gathering featured the attendance of the current President of the African Union, the President of the United Republic of Comoros, Azali Assoumani, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, the Prime Minister of Algeria, leaders, and representatives of Libya's neighbouring countries, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General Abdoulaye Bathily, and representatives of the heads of state and governments who are members of the African Committee concerned with Libya.
A statement by the PC media office said the meeting served as a mini-summit preceding the arrangements for the national reconciliation conference scheduled to be held in Sirte in mid-April.
