The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has denounced the attack by an armed group on the office of the CEO of the Brega oil and gas marketing company, vandalizing it and robbing some of its items.

The NOC said the armed group is part of the Central Security Department in Tripoli, adding that they raided Tuesday the office in Al-Thel street calling for a meeting with Emad Bin Kora - the CEO.

“After the gunmen had known the CEO was not there, they illegally took the keys of the office in a militia-style act, telling the secretary to tell the CEO not to come to office till he visits them.” The statement of the NOC reads.

The NOC said the armed group is fully responsible for the ramification of the raid on the Brega office in Tripoli, where there are official paper and seals that need to be kept intact.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of National Oil Corporation (NOC) has condemned the threats posed by armed groups in Tripoli to Bin Kora so he can be coerced into reconsidering the decision of firing fuel and gas distribution office headed by Milad Al-Hijirsi.

NOC accused Al-Hijirsi of launching a fake Facebook page using the name of fuel and gas crisis committee and the logo of Brega company illegally.
