The Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity (GNU) announced on Wednesday that candidates would be able to nominate themselves for the first Libyan Youth Parliament.

The step, which simulates the legislative authority, will include 200 young men and women from all regions of Libya, the ministry disclosed.

Those who wish to run for membership in the Youth Parliament must be between 17 and 25 years old when applying for their candidacy. Also, they should not be a member of the Supreme Committee organizing the elections and commit to the rules set by the Supreme Committee for candidates.

The ministry called on those wishing to run for the post to fill out the electronic form via a link it posted on its accounts.

The last date for receiving applications for candidacy is Saturday evening, April 16, 2022.
