A delegation from the High Council of State (HCS) visited Turkey to discuss the possibility of establishing a direct flight line between Ankara and Libya. 

The delegation, led by the Second HCS Deputy Chairman/ Chairman of the Libyan-Turkish Friendship Committee, Omar Obaidi, engaged in a series of discussions with the Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior, Bulent Turan, and other relevant public department directors at the Interior Ministry's HQ in Ankara.

The meeting addressed various issues, including enhancing security relations between the two countries, digital information security, and training and development of Libyan security cadres. 

Other areas of focus included airport security, security of vital facilities and institutions, and challenges faced by Libyan students in Turkey.

The parties also discussed facilitating residency procedures for students and patients, cancelling visas between the two countries, and the return of Turkish Airlines to Libyan airports.
