Minister of Interior Imad Trabelsi met with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) representative in Libya, Mohamed El-Faizy, on Wednesday to discuss collaboration between the ministry and the international organization.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in various areas related to child protection and improving services for children, including support for child and family protection units, according to a statement from the ministry shared on Facebook.
Trabelsi emphasized the importance of partnering with international organizations to achieve social development and ensure a better future for children in Libya.
On his part, El-Faizy expressed UNICEF’s appreciation for the ministry’s efforts and reaffirmed the organization’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at enhancing child protection across the country.
