More than 40 foreign nationals were killed and 6 others injured in an airstrike that targeted a residence site in the city of Sabratha early on Friday.
Sources from the city said unidentified warplanes destroyed a two-story building in Qasir Lalalga district, southwest of the city and just 8 km from the city center, killing all the Tunisian occupants who believed to be ISIS recruits. A Jordanian national was also killed in the airstrike, the sources added.
The municipal council of the city said the targeted building was also full of weapons and ammunition.
The American newspaper of New York Times reported that the airstrike was conducted by US warplanes.
