Victims Organization for Human Rights (VOHR) confirmed Monday that Hani Al-Mabrouk Al-Darsi died of severe burns at a hospital following an attack on his home in Benghazi.

According to the organization, members from the Sidi Khalifa police district in Benghazi stormed the deceased residence and burned the house down.

Al-Darsi suffered burns covering 70% of his body and spent one week in the Jalal Hospital in Benghazi before being transferred to a specialized hospital in Tripoli, where he passed away.

The VOHR urged the Prosecution Office to take action against the offenders and hold them accountable.

Benghazi is experiencing a state of insecurity as the rate of assassinations and extrajudicial killings at the hands of Haftar's militias has increased.
