The African Shooting Sports Federation (ASSF) decided to withdraw the hosting of  African Shooting Championship from Libya due to the lack of government guarantees.

The decision came in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation with all its members, held virtually on Monday, July 18.

Instead, the board decided to assign the organization of the championship to Tunisia, to be held in November this year.

The change of venue of the tournament was attributed to Libya was not being serious about hosting the tournament, according to sources at the Libyan Shooting Federation.

The board, however, decided to organize an international arbitration course for 10-meters shooting (rifle - pistol) at the end of this year in Libya.

Libya was scheduled to host the 15th edition of the African Shooting Championship from July 28 to August 3, 2022.
