Libya’s Tripoli-based Al-Ahli managed to qualify for the third round of the CAF Champions League despite losing the second leg match 1-2 for Al-Hilal in Khartoum, Sudan on Sunday evening.

The first half of the match ended with 1-1 draw as Al-Hilal scored at the fifth minute and Al-Ahli tied the score at the minute 35. In the second half, Al-Hilal got a penalty kick, which was scored by Al-Hilal’s footballer, Muntaser Karika at the minute 56 from the match, which then ended 2-1, knowing that in the first leg match, Al-Ahli beat Al-Hilal 1-0 in Tunisia.

On the other hand, Al-Itihad, also based in Tripoli, left the CAF Confederation League after it lost the match 0-2 for Midiama from Ghana at Sekondi-Takoradi city stadium in Ghana.
