Security personnel in Labreg airport prohibited Darnes team from travelling to Tripoli to participate in a friendly tournament in the coming days.
Sources close to Darnes sports club said Labreg security personnel told the team to show a travel pass issued from Khalifa Haftar’s General Command, adding that they interrogated all the team’s players separately, keeping Azhar Al-Na’as in custody.
Derna-based Darnes was on the way to Tripoli to take part in a friendly football tournament with many sports clubs taking part as a preparation for the Libyan National League likely to kick off in April.
