The Libyan national football team has been ranked 76 internationally, 20 in Africa and 7 in the Arab world in the monthly ranking lists issued by FIFA on Thursday.
The Libyan team has earned a higher rank in the FIFA world rankings after it beat Cape Verde in their home stadium 1-0 in the Gabon CAF 2017 qualifiers. By that win, Libya was uplifted by 17 positions on the FIFA world rankings list with a total of 466 points.
The Libyan national football team will play a very important match after two weeks against Congo as part of the qualifications for Russia-hosted 2018 World Cup.
