The Governor of the parallel east-based Central Bank of Libya, Ali Al-Hibri, said that the report of the United Nation Group of Experts on Libya lacks independence and is not neutral.

Al-Hibri said that the information included in the report on the disappearance of funds in the bank branch in Benghazi was incorrect and that no person or entity had taken that money.

In a press statement, he further added that his bank would provide a formal reply to the report, explaining that the funds were damaged during the leakage of sewage water in the coffers of the bank under the ground, which is located in the area of clashes that lacks electricity, as he put it.
