The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt released a report on Thursday regarding the growth of Egyptian exports to Libya during the first 11 months of 2023.
According to the report, the value of Egyptian exports to Libya reached $1.6 billion during this period, compared to $1.1 billion during the same period in 2022, marking a 48% increase.
On the other hand, the value of Egyptian imports from Libya decreased by 28%, amounting to $61.7 million in the first 11 months of 2023, down from $85.5 million during the corresponding period of 2022.
Consequently, the total value of trade between Egypt and Libya rose to $1.7 billion in the first 11 months of 2023, up from $1.2 billion during the same period in 2022, an increase of 42%.
The report also highlighted that Libyan investments in Egypt rose by 3.1% during the fiscal year 2022/2023, reaching $19.9 million, compared to $19.3 million in the fiscal year 2021/2022.2021/2022.
