The steering committee at the General Electricity Company (GEC) has approved the agreement with the Turkish firm Enka regarding all the details that would allow its workers to return to work on the Libyan territory.

The agreement that was approved Tuesday included specification of the dates for kicking off work and the expected dates for the end of it so as to see the power units in Ubari gas power station operate, besides other items of importance to the two sides.

Last week, the GEC discussed with Enka the details of the return of the Turkish firm’s workers to Ubari especially after the firm’s conditions were met with acceptance.

The firm had conditioned the return with flights route to Ubari airport for the transport of workers, reopening Ubari hospital, and high-alert security preparedness for the safety of the workers.
