The committee for evaluating damaged houses affected by the high groundwater level in the city of Zliten has discussed the adoption and filling out of compensation forms, and determining the best methods for supervision and follow-up.

This came during its second meeting, chaired by the Chairperson of the Committee and in the presence of the Mayor of Zliten Municipality. The committee reported receiving 200 files related to damages to homes resulting from the rise in groundwater levels in the city.

The committee explained that it coordinated with the mayor of the municipality to authorize locality chiefs to adopt the compensation forms.

It also revealed that its teams were grouped into five teams of engineers to conduct field visits, and another group to receive files from citizens and to input their data.
