The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons has stated that the number of bodies of Storm Daniel victims recovered from the Dhahr al-Ahmar cemetery for the purpose of identification has reached 1,337 so far.

The Director of the Department of Search for bodies at the Authority, Lutfi Tawfiq added that approximately 1,290 bodies and body parts of 28 others were reburied in Al-Fatayeh cemetery in accordance with Islamic law.

Regarding the number of samples taken from the bodies, Tawfiq indicated that it reached 1,300 samples, in addition to 1,095 samples from the families of the victims.

The Authority called on the families to come to the cemetery to mark the graves of their relatives in preparation for transporting them and burying them in the designated cemeteries.
