The General Authority for the Search and Identification of Missing Persons has confirmed the continued work in the city of Derna, based on instructions from the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The authority reported in a post on its Facebook page that the specialized teams had recovered 262 bodies from the Al-Dhahr Al-Ahmar cemetery to take DNA samples, after taking 657 bone samples from the bodies in the hospital morgue that were recovered earlier.
The teams worked to bury 219 bodies in the cemetery of the martyrs of Hurricane “Daniel” in the Al-Fatayeh cemetery in the city of Derna after completing the legal procedures.
