The Public Prosecution has announced the imprisonment of three employees from the Financial Affairs Department at Tripoli University Hospital, on charges of receiving one million dinar bribe and abusing position.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office stated, in a post on its Facebook page, that the judicial police officer at the Internal Security Service had received, earlier, a report about the hospital’s catering service lacking the necessary specifications and requirements.

Investigations have shown that the financial affairs employees refrained from paying the contracted services, with the aim of forcing the contracted service provider to pay bribes, which resulted in a deterioration in the quality of service.
